Video Game Scarred Swordswoman Resin Garage Kit – Glowing Chain, Severed Monster Head & Spiked Drum Plinth (Unpainted, 28 Pieces)
Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 28 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
A fan-art statue of the white-haired swordswoman from a famous dark-fantasy video game series, standing over a kill. Her right boot presses down on the brow of a severed monster head and her left leg is planted on the rocks behind it. A bloodied sword with a forked crossguard and engraved runes hangs low in her right hand, and her raised left fist is wrapped in a glowing chain that drops to the monster and loops twice around its neck. Her hair is pulled back in a braided crown with one long braid over her shoulder, and a scar runs down her left cheek. She wears a fur collar over a quilted gambeson, chainmail pauldrons with red cord knotwork, layered leather belts with brass studs, riveted leather trousers and tall boots, with a sword and a second scabbard across her back and a studded pouch at her hip. The base is a riveted iron-and-wood drum plinth with spikes around the rim and a snarling beast-head emblem with glowing red eyes on the front, topped with cracked stone, the monster's head with its rows of needle teeth, and a twisting dead tree that rises behind her.
What's in the kit
- 28 resin pieces in total.
- Figure, 11 pieces: legs, two boots, two arms (the left one with the chain coiled round the forearm), two pauldrons, and the torso in four pieces (chest, waist, head and braid).
- Swords and gear, 4 pieces: the sword on her back, the second scabbard, the blade of the sword in her hand, and the belt pouch.
- Glowing chain, 2 pieces: the curved section and the straight run.
- Base, 11 pieces: the drum plinth in four quarters, the beast-head emblem and its two small side chains, three ground sections (one carrying the monster head) and the dead tree.
- Studio size: 410 mm (16.14 in) tall, 250 mm (9.84 in) wide and 250 mm (9.84 in) deep (from Tanuki Figures' notes file).
- Scale: about 1:6 (estimated). The sculptor doesn't publish a scale, so this is my estimate of the closest standard scale based on the model's measurements. It may not look in scale next to other 1:6 figures, and scale can differ from one creator to another.
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: advanced
- The base is most of the kit: four plinth quarters close into a drum, with seams across the riveted bands and wood staves, then the three ground sections and the tree go on top. Build and fill the base first.
- Both boots carry the whole figure, one of them standing on the monster head. Pin them.
- The glowing chain is two thin pieces of individual links that run from her fist to the monster's neck, so it goes on last, after the figure is fixed to the base. It suits translucent orange or red resin.
- The in-hand blade, the braid, the tree's forked tips and the two small emblem chains are thin and fragile.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
