Video Game White-Haired Swordsman Resin Garage Kit – Griffin Head Trophy, Rune Sword & Spiked Drum Base, All Eight Heads Included (Unpainted, 42 Pieces)
Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 42 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
A fan-art statue of the white-haired monster slayer from a celebrated fantasy role-playing game, in the moment after a hunt. He stands square on a drum-shaped plinth, his right hand lowering a dark sword with a line of glowing runes and blood toward the tip, and his left hand holding a steel hook that reaches down to the severed head of a griffin on the rubble beside him. His silver-white hair is slicked back into a short tied tail, and his lined face has amber eyes and a scar through one brow. He wears a fur collar over a riveted leather jerkin with crossed straps and a pouch, blackened steel pauldrons, quilted sleeves, steel-and-leather bracers, a knee-length chainmail coat bound in leather, two wide belts, quilted leg panels and steel greaves over brown boots, with a wolf-head medallion at his throat. On his back are two tooled leather scabbards, one holding a sword, and a small crossbow strapped across them. The griffin's head has an open hooked black beak, a pale dead eye and a mane of long black feathers. The base is a drum of dark wooden staves bound with riveted steel bands and a ring of steel spikes, with a wolf-head emblem with red eyes and two hanging chains on the front, topped with gray rock, a pool of blood, splintered beams, tufts of grass and a dented horned helmet. All eight heads are in the box, so you can swap them as you like, along with a pair of small round glasses.
What's in the kit
- 42 resin pieces in total. All eight heads are in the box.
- Figure, 15 pieces: ponytail, round glasses, torso, chainmail coat, legs, two boots, two arms, two bracers, two hands and two pouches.
- Heads, 8 pieces: long hair or short hair, with a beard or clean-shaven, and with only the thin scar through the brow or with heavier scarring across the temple and cheek. Every head takes the same tied ponytail piece.
- Weapons, 5 pieces: the drawn rune sword, the sword hilt on his back, two scabbards and the crossbow.
- Base, 14 pieces: the drum in four sections, the rock and rubble top in five sections, the wolf-head emblem, two chain swags, the horned helmet and the griffin's head.
- Studio size: 1:6 scale, 426 mm (16.77 in) tall, 296 mm (11.65 in) wide and 274 mm (10.79 in) deep (from Tanuki Figures' printing and scale guide).
- Scale: 1:6 (from the studio). Scale isn't standardized, so figures of the same scale from different creators may not match exactly.
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: advanced
- Both boots carry the legs, coat, torso and everything above them. Pin the boots to the legs and into the base.
- The drawn sword is a long, thin blade held out from one hand at an angle. Pin it at the hand. The hook in the other hand has to meet the griffin's head, so fix the figure on the base before you set it.
- The drum comes in four sections and the rock top in five, with seams across the riveted bands and wood staves. Dry-fit and fill those seams before the emblem, chains and helmet go on.
- The glasses, chains, sword hilt, crossbow string and pouches are small and thin. The glasses and the scabbards can be left off for a cleaner look.
- All eight heads come in the kit and every one takes the same ponytail piece. Leave the neck joint unglued if you want to swap heads later.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
